Ann B. Farrow is a contemporary artist whose layered works explore the invisible forces of memory, transformation, and time.
Drawing from a background in design and storytelling, Ann brings emotional depth and visual rhythm to each canvas. Her process is both intuitive and intentional with the goal of making original, authentic art that is accessible for everyone.
Ann’s collections include abstract landscapes, botanicals inspired by children’s literature, and multi-layered mixed media pieces that invite viewers to slow down and look beneath the surface. Each painting is part of a larger narrative, often marked by embedded gold, sediment-like textures, and thought-provoking questions.
I feel things deeply. I always have. As a child, that wasn’t easy—my family even had a nickname for it. But with time, I’ve come to see my sensitivity not as a flaw, but as a gift. It allows me to connect—to people, to places, to moments—and ultimately, to paint.
Now, with decades of living behind me, I’ve learned to channel emotions more intentionally. I still care deeply, but selectively. And when something moves me, I express it through layers: of paint, texture, color, memory.
In a world increasingly driven by algorithms, speed, and AI, my work is intentionally slow. It’s physical. Tactile. Built by hand. These textures can’t be replicated digitally.
